A framework for staying, speaking, and connecting to help.
LIVE is both a personal mindset framework for individuals who are struggling and a community action framework for friends, families, leaders, and organizations. It does not replace professional care — it helps people stay long enough for support to arrive.
Live
The Live component emphasizes staying alive even in moments of intense pain. It encourages people to choose to live, reach out for help, share their struggles, and hold on to the truth that there is always hope for recovery — and that life, even in its darkest moments, is worth living.
Inspire
Inspire focuses on kindness, empathy, and understanding. By being open about their own mental health journeys, people can inspire others to speak out, seek help, and offer support — and remind those who are struggling that they are not alone.
Value
Value recognizes mental health as just as important as physical health, and calls for weaving support into everyday life. It also means valuing individuals — showing them that they matter, that their lives have meaning, and that they are not alone in their struggles.
Empower
Empower means giving people the knowledge, tools, and resources to take charge of their mental health and seek help when needed. It also empowers communities and organizations to create safe environments, reduce stigma, and support those who are struggling.
